Lilly and the Weatherfords

Lilly and the Weatherfords--who have been our guests several times on Seniors Today--are a legend in Southern gospel music, founded by "Big Chief" Weatherford. Lily is a Gospel Music Hall of Famer in her own right, and blesses audiences everywhere.

Truett Cathy

Truett Cathy was one of the most interesting guests we've yet been blessed with on Seniors Today. We were invited to interview him in his "treehouse" office. He shared his motto for success--"hard work"--with us. He has made a career out of promoting the importance of giving, and has established boys' homes, scholarships, and many other philanthropic projects to back it up. He is a great example for all of us to follow.

Eva Mae LeFevre

Eva Mae LeFevre was the queen of Southern Gospel music. Her 90th birthday celebration was a highlight for us here on Seniors Today. She was singing up until the very end. God blessed her with a good family and many years of singing the Gospel. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a dear friend to us, and we miss her.

Max Lucado

What a joy it was to have with us Max Lucado, minister, author, and missionary. Through his books, Bibles, children's books, and all of his ministry products his unending talents have touched and blessed the body of Christ. We look forward to and hope for many future appearances on his part.

Dottie Rambo

We cherish the years that we have had in knowing Dottie Rambo, and we enjoyed having her many times as a special guest for us on Seniors Today. Her music ministry--in song and in writing--has touched all our lives, and thank God we will have her music with us even in her absence. We all miss her.

Dr. James H. and Joanne Thompson

We want to give special thanks and appreciation to our founders/owners of WATC-TV 57. They are the ones who made it possible for us to share with our viewers on Seniors Today. They have a heart for touching lives and making a difference in the lives of seniors. Please continue to pray for them and their ministry of television on WGGS-TV 16 in Greenville, SC, as well as here in Atlanta.

Welcome!

Welcome to "Seniors Today," a blog that we trust will be a regular destination for you to learn more about topics of interest to senior citizens and the entire family.  Seniors have so much widsom to share and we plan on presenting those stories here.  We love celebrating our seniors and look forward to hearing from you.  If you know of a senior citizen making an impact on the community, or think of a topic that would be interesting to feature on an upcoming "Seniors Today" program, or have some household tips that would be helpful to our seniors, please let us know.  Our goal with this "Seniors Today" blog is to encourage, educate and inspire.  We look forward to hearing from you soon!
